Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Combine the molasses, brown sugar, and hot water in a bowl, then mix well until dissolved.
3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
4. Pour the molasses mixture into the dry ingredients, then add the melted butter and the egg. Stir until everything is combined.
5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and bake for about 40 minutes, or until it is set.
