Ingredients
– 250 ml milk
– 70 g butter
– 80 g sugar
– 1 egg
– 300 g plain flour
– 10 g baking powder
– 1 g salt
– 200 g crumb topping (made from flour, sugar, and butter)
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
1. Warm the milk and butter in a small saucepan until melted. Allow to cool for a few minutes then add sugar and egg. Mix well.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the milk mixture and stir until just combined.
3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a baking dish and pour the batter into it.
4. Mix crumb topping ingredients in a separate bowl. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the dish.
5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Let it cool slightly then slice and enjoy.
