Method
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined. Then, add the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until a dough forms.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
5. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for around 10-12 minutes. Once cool, decorate with icing sugar mixed with milk and food coloring.
