Ingredients
– 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. In a large bowl, mix the apple slices with lemon juice and half the brown sugar.
3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, cinnamon, the remaining brown sugar, and salt.
4. Add the cubed butter to the oat mixture and use your fingers or a fork to combine until it resembles crumbs.
5. Spread the apple mixture into a baking dish, top it with the oat mixture, and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
