Creamed Corn Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups frozen corn
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Method
1. Start by melting the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the flour and stir for about a minute until it forms a paste.
3. Pour in the milk gradually while whisking to avoid lumps.
4. Mix in the corn, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until the corn is heated through and the mixture thickens.
5. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving.
