Doddapatre Tambuli Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup fresh doddapatre leaves (also known as Indian borage)
1 cup plain yogurt
1-2 green chilies (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon grated coconut
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon ghee or cooking oil
1-2 cloves of garlic
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method
1. Begin by washing the doddapatre leaves under cold water to remove any dirt.
2. In a blender, combine the cleaned doddapatre leaves, plain yogurt, green chilies, grated coconut, and cumin seeds. Blend until smooth.
3. Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown.
4. Pour the blended mixture into the pan. Stir well and add salt according to your preference.
5. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
