Ingredients
– 1 cup butter, softened
– 1 cup brown sugar, packed
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture. Beat until combined.
4. Gradually mix in flour, baking powder, and spices until a dough forms.
5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
