Delicious Meringue Kisses Recipe: Light, Crispy, And Sweet Treats

Ingredients

– 2 large egg whites
– 1 cup caster sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
– Food coloring (optional)

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until they become foamy.
3. Add cream of tartar, then gradually mix in the caster sugar, a spoonful at a time, while continuing to beat until the mixture is glossy and forms stiff peaks.
4. Stir in vanilla extract and food coloring if desired. Use a spoon or piping bag to form small kisses on the prepared tray.
5. Bake for 60 minutes or until the meringues can be easily lifted off the paper. Turn off the oven and let them cool completely inside.
