Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until well combined.
4. Gradually stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until a smooth dough forms. Then mix in the chocolate chips.
5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking tray, spacing them apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
