Ingredients
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking powder

- Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish.
- Beat together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the mixture. Mix well.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips if using. Spread the batter in the dish. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
